In Summary…
I don't typically like to mix business with personal, but in this instance it is at best case scenario, appropriate, and worst case scenario, necessary.

See, I get my boys every summer. During the school year, save for a couple of holidays, they're up in Washington with their mom. They're brought to me every year, but every year I have to get them back. We've had an incredible time this year! We did have a couple of emergencies within the family however that necessitated using about half of our funds for the trip back. Everyone is more than okay! In fact, thanks to the kindness of a couple of friends and family members, we were able to circumvent them and come out the other end unscathed. I'm thankful to say I was even able to pay on of those kindnesses forward! 😊
But then of course, as it tends to do, life happened again. And It left us in a position where we don't quite have what we need to get them home.
So here's where the release comes in. For one week only starting today, you can purchase "In Summary" for four dollars. After one week, it goes up to 8. It is 8 songs long.
The first four songs are the four songs that comprise my first official release, The Striped Soul EP. The last four are from my previous catalogs, either as a solo artist or from my former band. In some cases they have been remastered from their initial release. In all cases, they are slated to be redone under The Death or Zenith moniker. So in a way, these are demos for future recordings.
These particular Masters are only available on this release. Full transparency, every cent I make for the next week is going to fund the boys' trip back home. Come hell or high water, we hit the road THIS Thursday.
I don't like asking for help lol. I don't think many people do. So I'm not. I'm offering up music I believe in, in exchange for a stronger possibility of making something happen. At first, I was afraid this might be in bad taste. Then I remembered that these two little guys are two-thirds of the reason that I'm trying to do music anyway. To show them that they can do anything they put their minds to, and that this is in fact a viable career path, and that it can provide for them.
So I'm putting that to the test. I'm putting my faith in my work, in the universe, and in all of you. There are 199 members in this group. If all 199 of you spend four dollars on eight songs, that's $796. That would MORE than get them back and me home.
Even if half of you spent four dollars on eight songs, that would still make it happen.
I know how social media works, and I also know I'm not the only one struggling so I know it's a big ask anyway lol. But at the very least, I'll learn something from this experiment. I'll learn if my music is any damn good if nothing else 😜
